Salmon Holdings, LLC. Real Estate Consulting
About Our Principal: Lorraine Salmon

Lorraine SalmonLorraine Salmon formed Salmon Holdings in 2005. She was inspired to develop a woman-owned-and-operated consulting firm providing established professionals with an opportunity to provide valued services to healthcare clients while nurturing healthcare consulting and real estate opportunities for gifted, emerging consultants.

Lorraine has an extensive background in real estate development, as well as construction management and real estate brokerage. She developed a $41M long-term care traumatic brain injury rehabilitation center which was a first of its kind in New York. Specifically noted for its re-use of an abandoned 209,000-square-foot IBM office building in Kingston, NY, this project required Lorraine to handle all local, financing, and building approvals, as well as all project contracts including financing, architectural, engineering, movable equipment, and construction. The project was completed on time and on budget in March of 1999.

As Director of Facilities for Healthcare Associates (1996-2000), Lorraine was responsible for the facilities maintenance and capital planning efforts of more than 2,400 beds at 16 nursing homes and senior residences. She was President of the Ulster County Development Corporation and Vice President of Real Estate for Kingston Regional Health Care System (2001-2004) where she brokered real estate transactions and was President of the system’s real estate holding company. In this role, she was responsible for negotiations necessary to position the system as the future owner and sponsor of a $90M+ continuing care retirement community. Most recently, Lorraine was a managing director for The Staubach Company in Manhattan and was the primary administrator for the New York State account, managing the New York City lease requirements for the State of New York’s Office of General Services (OGS).

Lorraine is a New York State Licensed Real Estate Broker and a New York State approved owner/operator of nursing homes. Lorraine is a past board member of the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce, Ulster County Workforce Development, and a past Chairman of the Ulster County Development Corporation. She is a past Vice Chair of the SUNY Ulster Foundation Board of Directors and is returning in 2008 as a board member and Special Gifts Committee Member for the Nursing mission.
