Nancy Peers: Consultant Bio

Nancy Peers - Salmon Holdings, LLC.Nancy Peers joined the Salmon Holdings team in 2008 in the capacity of facilities management and special projects administrator. As a consultant for a large multisite healthcare system in the tri-state region, she lends assistance with regulatory knowledge of NYS Department of Health requirements and The Joint Commission accreditation process, particularly in the areas of Environment of Care and Emergency Management. She has assisted with the development of performance measures, risk assessment, and management plans for department directors along with tracking logs for utilities management, facility construction, life safety measures, and capital improvements,. Nancy has also assumed the role of emergency preparedness coordinator, implementing all disaster planning throughout the healthcare system by combining efforts and developing components of the emergency operations plan including successful completion of training and certification of the Incident Command System (ICS).

 

With more than 25 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, Nancy has been historically responsible for corporate implementation of local, state, and federal regulations. In addition to a strong background in the healthcare field, she offers significant experience in strategic planning, including market trends, data and demographic analysis, marketing, public relations, and communications, along with program development and implementation for nursing homes, hospitals, and supportive hous-ing for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Nancy has developed a vast network of healthcare and business connections throughout New York and continues her advocacy work to assist individuals with traumatic brain injury as well as seniors living with Alzheimer’s disease.

Director of Business
• Development of a national clinical and reference laboratory in association with a healthcare system: expansion of the toxicology division by cultivating new accounts, increasing sales revenue, and obtaining government contracts.

 

Director of Operations
• Provided fiscal oversight and annual budgets by establishing a matrix system based on occupancy resulting in a 30% reduction of expenses for a 302-unit apartment community offering independent and enriched living for seniors.

 

President of the Board and Executive Director
• Established regional networks to develop referral streams while building census and revenue for a not-for-profit, community-based program for individuals with brain injuries.

• Supported statewide health-care system encompassing 1.2 million SF and 2,400 skilled nursing facility beds with over 3,900 employees.
